Per Kirkeby, Brick sculpture at Høvikodden (1985)
The Danish artist Per Kirkeby (1938–2018) is well known for his brick sculptures. With various references, as well as Kirkeby's own anecdotes of how he literally grew up in the shadow of the giant brick church Grundtvig in Copenhagen, his sculptures are often mysterious buildings without practical purposes.
The work is site specific and was made for the Borealis 2.
