Arnold Haukeland, Ground Forces (1981)
The sculpture was originally presented at Philips Norge AS at Ryen, Oslo. At the inauguration, the artist said: "I am concerned about our ancient cultural heritage, of our ancestors' chiselling of runes in stone. These symbols have inspired me, but I have made a rune in the free, instead of in the rock… The sculpture pretends to express expansion.”
When Philips AS moved from Ryen in 2011, the sculpture was donated to Henie Onstad.
