"Joy" was the theme of the exhibition that displayed children’s drawings made by schoolchildren in Asker and Bærum at the Henie Onstad Kunstsenter in 1975.

The exhibition lasted from May 7th until June 22nd and as you can see from the photographs, it created great joy. 832 drawings from 18 schools were displayed.

Høvik Elementary School was given a lithograph made by Jakob Weidemann as a result of the children's hard labour and dedication. The event was covered by the local paper, Budstikka: "Høvik Skole has shown the greatest interest and collaborated greatly on creating this joy."

Furthermore the local paper wrote: "Director Ole Henrik Moe was happy with the joy the children expressed. Active children have been scarce here at the Art Center. We hope that we get to arrange a children’s festival where we can let you release your creative flow freely, Moe said among other things. The drawings tell us that there are many joys of children - race cars, flowers and animals, the circus and the 17th of May (Norwegian Constitution Day), people who are happy, friendship and love to mention a few."
