Date

The workshop is included in the entrance ticket and is free for everyone with a membership. Registration is needed.

In this workshop, Mark Cinkevich and Anna Engelhardt will let the participants try a unique method the artists have developed while working on the video work called Onset.

Onset is shown in New Visions and is co-produced by Henie Onstad Kunstsenter.

The method they will teach the participants uses information which is available online to uncover the hidden nodes of Russian military infrastructure.

Based on techniques from open source code intelligence (OSINT) – intelligence that is generated from data and information obtained from open sources – the method is used to uncover control and violence masked in extensive infrastructures.

To begin with, the artists will explain the basic principles of this method. Then, they will guide the participants in trying out their own investigation.

The workshop lasts for 2.5 hours, with a break.

Technical information:
The participants must bring a laptop with pre-installed Google Earth Pro (a stand-alone desktop application).

There are only 20 physical places, so remember to register for this unique opportunity to meet the artists and get guidance from them in your research.
You can also participate online on Discord.

The workshop will be in English.
