She was married to the painter Hans Hartung and both Picasso and Braque belonged to her social circle. During her lifetime, she was more renowned abroad than in Norway. The 109 works on show are all on loan from the Fondation Maeght in Saint-Paul-de-Vence in France, and include 62 sculptures, along with paintings, drawings, textile works and ceramics dating from 1956-1980.
