Dubuffet for children

Are you ready to solve puzzles like Dubuffet?

Jean Dubuffet (1901-85) was one of the major painters of the twentieth century, but his architectural achievements have commanded less attention until now. This oversight is all the more surprising in the light of his being awarded The American Institute of Architects' medal in 1982.

The extensive presentation of Jean Dubuffet (1901–85) now on show at Henie Onstad Art Centre focuses on Dubuffet’s intense interest in architecture, as embodied in monumental projects from the period 1967–74. The exhibition features some fifty models, sculptures, paintings and drawings.

Are you ready to solve puzzles like Dubuffet?
Henie Onstad Art Centre has made a set of puzzles for children in the spirit of Dubuffet.

In the first puzzle you have to look for figures hidden in the Dubuffet´s work  Epockhé. If you look close maye you´ll discover the cowboy, a puddle, birds, bears, several men and an old lady? And then, look again. Maybe you´ll discover something else?

Dubuffet himself worked with yellow, red and blue. Which colours are yours?

Béniquet Trompette
Put the piezes together in it´s right place and create the sculpture  Bèniquet Trompette. Dubuffet himself made this in1967.
